wow i havent updated this in forever.
so i decided to ditch using proper capitalization because the shift button is so scary haha.
but anyways! this winter break has been.... short. to say the least haha
the trip to mammoth last week was awesome though! i went to the slopes 3 of the 3 days that we were there. strangely, i wasnt tired after the 3rd day O.o i seem to have an affinity for snowboarding long amounts without tiring out haha. anyways, 2 of the 3 days was full on blizzards. like literally what you had to do when you got off the lift was: 1.)attach boots 2.)bend knees 3.)go and pray you dont run into anything... or anyone. haha it was so severe that the visibility range was about... 2 feet. meaning i couldnt even see the ground under me haha it wasnt too bad though. the 3rd day.... was perfection. clear visibility for MILES (oops. i used the shift button) around and the blizzards from previous days left a deep blanket of fresh white powder. my pastor, friend, and i got bored of the regular groomed trails and decided to go backcountry snowboarding and we cut our own trail down the slope, which was pretty awesome. most memorable moment of the trip?: i hit my forehead on an overhanging branch while backcountry snowboarding. thank god it was a really weak branch.
ADVICE FOR ANYONE ELSE HITTING THE SLOPES:
1. watch where youre going. always. -_-
2. try sitting with random people on the lifts, the people that are not actual creepers are pretty interesting to talk to. from the average housewife from santa monica to the pro-boarder traversing the nation looking for the best powder, ive talked to them and they each have their own story of the slopes. its pretty englightening
3. NEVER stop in areas of deep, lightly packed snow. it is a pain in the *** to get out. -.-
so other than my excursion to the slopes of california, not much else happened in my break other than:
1. my nephew turned 1 (im an uncle?? i feel old.)
2. i got an awesome webcam (haha late night camwhoring ftw)
3. uhh... i made some new friends haha hey there melissa and kim. (im such a creeper, i know.)
new years resolution?:
update blog more frequently. hah

you there?
"Do you hear me? I'm talking to you"
Today someone asked me who my best friends were. Here's how that went:
Them: "So who's your best friends?"
Me: "Hah, I don't know, define best friend"
Them: "I don't know either, hah, ask yourself"
So I don't know, I'm not exactly sure of my definition either. I guess it's just one of those things where you can just say "yes, they are my best friends" off the top of your head. I love my besties. I've been through alot with them. From livin' it up during the day singing like a birdie to having bonding conversations with them at 2AM on a school night, from pulling through those "damn-hard" moments of life to laughing until you cry because your sides hurt. To assigning codenames and a whole new language to people so they don't know what we're saying. I've been through alot with them. These are the things I won't remember in 20 years, the things that won't matter in 10 years, they are nothing. But they mean everything to me.
p.s.: thanks to the person that gave me inspiration for the last 2 sentences (you know who you are if you're reading this :]) but most importantly, to the people that made this post possible (besties). you definitely know who you are.
